Chessie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chessie's Story...
Chessie came to AOS along with her litter of small kittens. She was a feral mother when she was first found but not anymore. She has become the ultimate house cat, loving to lay in bed and seeking out her foster family for pets and attention. She would make a great companion pet for anyone including families with children, other cats or dogs. Help Chessie enjoy her new life as a indoor house cat.

Chessie is now available for viewing and adoption at the Petsmart in Algonquin. Adoption event hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11 til 2 but arrangements can be made anytime during the week by calling Amy at 815-814-3575. The Algonquin Petsmart is located at 1808 S. Randall Road in the Algonquin Commons shopping complex. All family members must be present at the time of adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chessie, a McHenry Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in McHenry, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in McHenry.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McHenry already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McHenry breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McHenry paves the way for another one to be saved.
