Ricky's Story...
Do you poop out at parties? Are you unpopular? Well, LUCY and RICKY might change all that. These two adorable Chihuahuas are about four years old, and they're looking for a new home that they can share. Lucy and Ricky are a bonded couple, so they need to be adopted out together. After you spend time with these friendly and good-natured munchkins, you probably won't have any reservations about adopting them both. These super-cute snuggle-bugs have been house trained, and they know how to sit on command. They'd do best in a home without children, and they get along nicely with other dogs. If you're looking for wonderful house dogs with built-in doggie companionship, then Lucy and Ricky just might be the dogs for you. Please come visit them at the EL Cajon Animal Shelter so you can get better acquainted with them in the lovely play yard here at the shelter. Lucy and Ricky would love to find a new loving home soon, so please hurry on over. They're waiting for you in kennel #11.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricky, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
