Sherman's Story...
Sherman is all black, with small white markings on his chest. He is a BIG boy for his age, an alpha male. He loves to play with the other pups and with his people. He would be a fine choice for a family with children.email us today to learn more about this dog, and adoption info. There is so much to say about Sandy. She had the cutest little puppies. They have now all found homes and Sandy is waiting her turn to go to her forever place.
I love this dog. She is my sugar faced sweetheart. Never have I had a nicer dog here. She just wants to be loved. She does little tricks, she has a flat bottom, and she will sit up and sort of lean into you, as if to say, "you are so wonderful, love me, love me, love me!" She is good in the house, quiet, well behaved. Never chews anything up. She loves chewie sticks, and will happily chew for hours. She can fetch, and she plays very well with other dogs. She has a tad of separation anxiety, so she would do the very best in a home where there is a stay at home person. She walks well on a leash, rides well in the car, and even though she looks sort of German Shepherdish, she is a middle sized dog that could live in an apartment.
She is careful as she moves, I have never tripped over her. I think an older person would do well with her, she doesn't get underfoot.
I think the perfect home for her would be someone looking for a companion, a best friend. A single person, or a couple who have time for her. She really needs to be a part of your life. She would not do well in a home where she is alone for hours.
She is a good watch dog, but does not bark a lot. I want the best for this girl, so if you are interested, please fill out an application at www.safeanimals.com.
Sandy is much prettier than this picture of her. She has a fear of my camera, and I have failed to sneak up on her to get a good picture. She has erect ears, but she refused to hold them up for me when I pointed the camera at her. I'll keep trying.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherman, a tucson Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in tucson, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
