Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mario's foster rocks!!! Here he is out enjoying an ice cream and in the second photo she's carrying him (like a kid, which she says he loves) so that his paws don't get burned on the hot pavement. Thank you Kristin
Name: Mario
Sex: Male
Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: ~4
Weight: ~55lbs
Good with: Dogs & people, no cats
This studly beefcake is Mario! Mario was stuck in a shelter right here in MA for a while and no one knows why. He's been hailed the perfect pup and is super sweet and loving. He's now in local foster care is doing great. He's friendly with dogs and people; probably best with older kids do to excitability and unintentional knocking over of the very little ones. His foster does have a cat and while nothing bad has happened she keeps them separated. You have to meet this guy, total sweetheart! If you're interested in adoption, please fill out an application online at www.survivortails.org.
Please note: We can only foster or adopt in the states of Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Foster comments: He is house trained, crate trained, basic obedience trained (sit, down, wait, with me, stay, leave it), knows a couple tricks (touch, spin, up). He's quite comical and expressive. Loves to cuddle as much as he likes to play. Super fast learner and LOVES his puzzle toys. Good with dogs with proper introductions (he's still working on learning to greet other dogs properly, a.k.a. don't jump on them right away please). I'd say he's about a medium energy dog. He is very agile and can jump about 5 feet up when asked.
