My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our foster dogs live as family members in the foster home until chosen for adoption. You can contact her foster mom, Donna by emailing her at doffen28@aol.com for more information on how she can become part of your family.

Hi, my name is Lily.

I am a three year old Lab mix. I first came to the shelter as a stray. Sadly my new owner became very ill and could no longer care for me.

UPDATE: I AM NOW LIVING IN A WONDERFUL FOSTER HOME!!! PLEASE CONTACT MY FOSTER MOM DONNA.

My wonderful foster mom has this to say about me; "Lily has been a joy to have around. She is a typical active, happy, sweet young dog who loves to give kisses and chase her ball.

She gets along great with our two dogs which includes a small yet bossy Jack Russell terrier. She is fully housetrained and goes into her crate willingly when we leave for work in the mornings. She has had free roam of the home with our two dogs when we've left for short periods of time and she has been great. Due to her young age and exuberance for life we feel crating her when we are gone for longer than an hour or two is ideal. She does not need to be crated at night as she sleeps the night away on her bed with a delightful little snore.

She knows several commands such as sit, down, and stay. She knows "come" but still needs training to learn that she must come even when she is sniffing something exceptionally interesting in the backyard.

She gets very excited on walks and will pull on the leash but we are working with her. She's a smart girl that wants to please her person so we fully expect she will act like a lady on the leash with more consistency and training.

Lily needs daily exercise. She loves to jog with me in the mornings and to chase ball in the backyard at night. So she will need an active family that gives her the attention and exercise that she needs. In return she will make a loyal, happy, loving addition to your family."

I am a young lady at heart and I weigh around 45 pounds. I have been checked out by a veterinarian and spayed. I received a set of preventative shots and have been wormed. I have tested negative for heartworms.

You can contact her foster mom, Donna by emailing her at doffen28@aol.com for more information on how she can become part of your family.
