My name is Smittie and I am 1 year old Flat Coat Retriever mix. You are scratching your head and wondering - THAT does not look like a Golden Retriever to me. But, I am just like a Golden Retriever just with one small difference - I am black instead of blond or red or gold. I really need to go to a calm home, no small children. I have some nervous energy but once I get to know my surroundings, I am calm as a cucumber. I do need some obedience training but I am very smart. I was surrendered by my owner because they had too many dogs - like 21 Chihuahuas too many. WOW - I know - you are thinking - that seems like an army of yap. I am healthy as a horse and looking for my new home. I am house trained. So ask for Smittie - the black Golden Retriever! xoxoxo - Smittie!
