Here's what the humans have to say about me:
CHAMP is a 5 year old yellow neutered male Lab who weighs 100 pounds. He's just wonderful and is a very sweet dog. He has a laid back kind of energy level and wants to be held and petted as much as possible. Champ knows some commands and didn’t get on furniture at his temporary foster home. He may need some leash work, because he does get excited so an easy walk harness will be good for him. Champ loves to play with the other dogs, but he also respected the space of the foster’s own 16 year old Lab. He's approved for kids aged 10+.
Update (8/06): Champ is a very sweet dog and an easy foster thus far. He rode great in the car, came in and sniffed a bit, met the resident dogs with no fuss, and settled in for the night. No need to crate, solidly housebroken and good house manners. He walked nicely this AM and enjoyed the fresh air. He is a very nice boy who wants to be around his people.
Update (7/25): Champ has been an easy addition to the house. He sits for treat and is gentle taking treats. He's had interest in countertops and tables, so we are working on averting that tendency. Champ prefers to hang out with his humans, but has done well being left alone up to 8 hours. He goes into nap-mode along with the other two resident dogs. He has polite manners with his canine buddies. He doesn't start arising until the other two dogs let him know it's time to get up. He enjoys being brushed -- much more than the other two dogs! Champ is wonderful with his foster's 10 yo son and has become more playful with toys. He's decided it's okay to use the harder chew toys. Overall, he's an easy guy to love and live with.
Update (7/17): Champ is one snuggly dog! He has the cutest soft brown eyes. He spontaneously wags his tail and plays with the resident dominant female dog. When he gets tired or needs an out, he runs to his human "mommy" and snugs his head under my arm. Adorable! He has a hearty appetite. He enjoys soft toys, but isn't a fan of the squeaky kind. He likes to be with his humans!
Update (7/02): Champ has buddied up with the resident labs. Champ is a lover of his humans. The more you give love, the more settled he becomes. He is quickly learning the routines of the house. He sits nice for his treat and is learning to be patient waiting for his turn to be fed. Champ is a wonderful companion and a smart dog. He would be great for someone with lots of attention to give.
Update (6/28): Sweet and sticky...that's Champ! He loooves people. He enthusiastically greeted my 10 yo son. He is gentle with both humans and my two Labs. He did well for his backyard bath, too. He takes treats gently and was able to be redirected when too close to the dinner table or cooking areas. He was left alone for over an hour and did perfect! He has been a terrific house guest.
Update (6/28): Champ is a huge chunk of yellow LOVE!!! He loves to just run up to people with that famous "lab lean", then roll straight over for a belly scratch. He rode well in the car. He just quietly watched everything around on the drive. Champ took a shining to his 10 year old human foster brother and said hello to the resident labs.
