Bear's Story...
Bear - Collie mix - 3 yrs old, weight 25-30 lbs Neutered Male

This handsome dog was abandoned and his rescuer is hoping to find a new forever home for him because they have a houseful of dogs they have rescued and cannot add to their number. He has been taken to the vet, is healthy, was neutered and given rabies and distemper shots.

Bear has a very sweet and playful demeanor, happily greets people and has shown no aggressive tendencies. He has been around small children and gets along with other dogs and in general is a friendly well behaved family dog. Bear is active, playful and energetic and will do well with an active family that enjoys walking and interacting with their dog. A securely fenced yard and another furry friend would be a big plus.

In addition Bear wants to please and a class in basic obedience would be another plus not only in improving manners but enhancing the bond between Bear and his new family. If you would like to meet Bear a mutually convenient place, day and time can be arranged.

The adoption process includes completing an application a home visit and an adoption fee of $100. Please call me at 21- 651-6469 and we can discuss further.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a San Antonio Collie/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Corgi for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Collie/Corgi dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Corgi breeders who help with Collie/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
