Scooby's Story...
Hello! My name is Scooby and sadly I was turned into the shelter by my owner. My whole story of coming to the shelter is a bit of a mess and too long to tell. But needless to say, I am in need of a new home. I do have a hip issue, due to the fact that I was hit by a car. But never fear, I do get along just fine and the vet said I should be fine. I do great with kids, adults--basically humans of all kinds. I just want a chance to get out of the shelter and find that forever loving home where I can flourish. I am housetrained and know some tricks, too. I will sit, and lay down with the right motivation. I love to give kisses and hugs, and just cuddle. But playtime is fun too!

*Note: Scooby did have hip surgery to fix any problems his encounter with the car would have caused. He is getting along great and would love to find a forever loving home where he can flourish. He is a super sweet dog who just loves to be around people.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby, a Sidney Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sidney, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sidney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sidney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sidney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sidney paves the way for another one to be saved.
