My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo, the last of our "When You Wish Upon a Star" Lab to Leash beagles released to us, has entered foster care. He is a 1.5 yo beagle with a lot of energy who is always looking for the next toy to play with! Leo would do well with an active family that has a great sense of humor since he is always doing something to make everyone laugh! Leo is working on his housetraining, and CANNOT be crated. He will injure himself if he is crated, so an adopter must be willing to work on housetraining with other training tools. Leo is child-friendly, cat-friendly and dog-friendly, and MUST have another dog in his forever home. When Leo first came to us, he destroyed numerous crates and showed signs of severe separation anxiety. So long as he has the right combination of things - a Thundershirt (he will be adopted out with his), an Adaptil collar (he will be adopted out with one), some classical music on when left for the day, and the company of another uncrated dog, Leo will curl up on the couch and just go to sleep! (We have the video evidence to prove it!) It may sound like a lot, but it really isn't - especially when you see what a difference it makes for him! He is silly, playful, affectionate, and a lot of fun. If you can give him the set up he needs, he could make a great addition to your family!
