Meet Mimosa, a one-year-old, female, Golden-X, who arrived at Animatch from another rescue which just had too many dogs and not enough space. This stunning dog was picked up as a stray; we can only guess that her family impulsively got her as gorgeous puppy but were not prepared for an active and sometimes stubborn “teenager”. Mimosa is a big love bug who enjoys a good cuddle and likes to rest her head in your lap. Because she is an adolescent dog, Mimosa still has a lot of “puppy” in her. She does tend to jump and can be a little mouthy but positive reinforcement and consistency will soon help Mimosa to know what is acceptable. Mimosa does need some work walking on leash and obedience training classes would be of great benefit to this beautiful girl. She gets along with other dogs as long as proper introductions are made; Mimosa does not appreciate dogs that are always in her face. She is truly happiest being with her humans and as such would be even more content as an only dog. Mimosa will require daily walks and regular exercise sessions to keep her happy and healthy. She wants a family who will commit to her care for the rest of her life – bouncing from home to home is very hard on a dog. Are you looking for a Golden Girl to add a little energy to your family?
