Update 6/3/2014. Mickey is a friendly, approximately 5 year old, 60 lb, Bluetick Coonhound. He is a wonderful, loving dog and does well with dogs and children. Mickey is not compatible with small creatures (cats, bunnies, hamsters) and needs a household without. He will crawl on your lap and give hugs, and he enjoys meeting new people. Mickey likes to chew bones. He currently needs a little supervision as he will trot away with a sneaker or purse on occasion. He is a very smart boy and quickly learning the difference between toys and personal items. Mickey may do best with a secure fence as he does look for escape routes and loves to be outside. Mickey is looking for a family who will spend time with him to perfect his manners. His new family would be lucky to have him.

About Furry Friends Network - Dog Adoptions

About Our Rescue Group...

Furry Friends Network is a non profit, all-volunteer animal adoption organization. Our philosophy is to help those animals that did not ask to be born, that are often the result of human ignorance. Any animal, no matter its age, can offer love and companionship to the right person.

Furry Friends Network is not a shelter, but instead uses a foster home network to house the animals until permanent, indoor homes can be found, offering second chances at lifetimes of love and happiness.

Convenient times can be scheduled to meet all others once your application has been processed.

Our Adoption Process...

Furry Friends Network's adoption process consists of four steps:

1. Complete and return an adoption application. Our volunteers then review the application and contact you. Mail "printable" adoption applications to:

Furry Friends Network
Adoption Applications
P.O. Box 519
Boiling Springs, PA 17007

2. The application process consists of contacting your personal and veterinarian references, contacting your landlord (as applicable), a personal interview and a home visit. The process will take approximately 2 weeks.

3. If your application is approved, a meet-n-greet with the animal and his/her foster family will be set up.

4. Finally, if it is a good match for both the animal and the applicant, a contract is signed and the animal officially has a new home.
