My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simon is a 5 year old smooth cream dachshund recently released from a commercial breeding facility. He is a sweet, quiet little guy, still shy from his puppy mill past. He gets nervous around new people, but is more confident in the safety of his foster home where he has begun to open up and show more of his personality. Simon LOVES to play with squeaky toys! He also enjoys running in the yard, rustling through the fallen leaves, barking at squirrels and playing chase with his foster brothers. He is crate trained and is doing very well with his potty training.
Simon has severe sound anxiety to loud noises (such as thunder and fireworks), and needs positive reinforcement training and patience to overcome those fears while he adjusts to his new life. Simon's ideal home is a calm home with another small resident dog.
Due to high costs of veterinary care for our rescue dogs, the suggested adoption donation is: $300.00.
Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers. Adoption applications can be found at WagNTrainTerrierRescue.com or visit WagNTrainTerrierRescue.com/Calendar of Events for a current listing of our public events.
