DALLAS is a 6 year old yellow (Fox Red) neutered male who weighs 73 pounds (his ideal is 66 lbs. so needs to lose a few and is on green bead and exercise diet). He came to us with his best pal, Jaxson, a 4 year old black male. Dallas and Jaxson are a bonded pair who have been together since Jaxson was a puppy. They must be adopted together. They need a yard to play in and may not do well in a city an apartment/condo environment. They are great dogs both in their looks and personality. They like to play and love attention, where one goes the other is not far behind. They do not like to be separated from each other. They have a nice Lablean which can turn into a upside down dog for a belly rub if you're are petting them. They are good size dogs, playful, strong and smart. Both will chase after a toy but Jaxson is one that brings it back even if he has to take it from Dallas who just gives it to him. I'm not sure who is the boss think they take turns just to confuse me. They are good with other dogs. Curious about cats, played with neighbors cats when they came into the yard. They know sit, come and sometimes down. Can use some refresher training. Love to go on walks, do well with Easy Walk Harness especially if you’re walking both at the same time. They are approved for kids aged 5 and up.
Update (7/21): Jaxson and Dallas are the sweetest bonded pair. They want to be where ever you are and be involved with what you're doing. They are great pals and wonderful companions. They are approved for children 5 and up and are wonderful with their foster's young son, nieces, and nephews. Families come and get him!
Update (7/17): The boys are doing well and are maintaining their sweet dispositions. The boys are also very handsome to boot, what a package! They just enjoy being a part of a family. So far they love everyone and all they meet.
Update (7/06): Dallas and Jaxson had a super fourth of July weekend! They partied it up with a large crowd and were so well behaved. They got lots of attention and did not try to get into any food. They're both very good listeners and seem to know several commands. They love toys, walks, snuggling, treats and just chillin' with you. They're great with kids and are some cool dudes!
Update (7/04): Well Y'all, It's official. Dallas and Jaxson are absolutely the two sweetest most loving guys ever. They are absolutely perfect both in the house and outside. These boys don't bother anything that they are not supposed to. No Counter Surfing, No Trash Can Diving, No Shoe Chewing, No Potty in the house and they don't even try to get on the furniture. They have met some of the neighbors and were absolute gentlemen. Get your apps in ASAP, you don't want to miss these guys.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has around 50 dogs available for adoption.
