My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE: 1/23/15, on Sonic from his new foster home:

Sonic is now being fostered in Tujunga. I take him out everyday in the morning to the dog park for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours and he plays with the dogs there, they chase each other, they wrestle, and he goes and explores the park. He would bark at the other dogs the first couple days, but we have stopped the barking and he only growls sometimes, but when told to stop he turns around and goes about his business. He comes when called, walks well on the leash, he dosen't gaurd his food. He does know "sit" and "come" and is learning "down". Sonic is housebroken and knows how to use a dog door and rides well in a vehicle. Sonic follows me around the house and does't leave my side. Sonic appears to have some herding ability and that is the only problem we have at the park as he tends to nip at some of the dogs. i am trying to change his focus to chase tennis balls. I am thinking of taking him to a herding class if I still have him in the coming months. Sonic is a very well behaved boy in the house. I never hear a peep out of him and he does well with cats, small dogs and my own male border collie. Sometimes they do challenge each other but most of the time they just play with each other.

---

Sonic is a 15 month old male, traditionally marked Border Collie. He is very friendly and loves to be with his person, inside and out. Sonic is a very active boy and loves to play with other dogs. He can be a little "snarky" at times, if challenged, but backs down and continues to play. He is somewhat ball driven and, when he is not in with other dogs, will chase the ball and bring it almost all the way back to you.

Sonic is pretty good on a leash but, being a youngster, will need further training with this. He does know "sit" and "come" and is learning the "down". Sonic is housebroken and knows how to use a dog door and rides well in a vehicle. His main concern is that he is with his person as much as possible. Sonic appears to have some herding ability but has not yet been tested for this. His Foster Mom would be willing to test him on cattle if someone was interested in him as a ranch dog or herding prospect.
Sonic is a very loving boy and would be happy as an only dog as well as with another dog, preferably a non-dominant female.

Sonic is up to date on all his vaccinations, is neutered and microchipped and ready to go into his new forever home!

Sonic is being fostered in East San Diego County.
