My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wave, a friendly tail-wagging white and fawn girl will celebrate her 3rd birthday with us in July. She started her fairly short racing career in Florida and came to Tucson recently, where after 5 races she broke her leg. Wave is recuperating in foster. She may do okay with small dogs, but she is not cat tolerant. She will be available when she is all healed.

SA GREYS caught a Wave. That's me! I broke my leg, so after surgery I went directly into a foster home. I live with other greyhounds, a miniature pincher, and young kids (and parents, of course). I absolutely LOVE people and other dogs. The people tease me about being a face licking, tail wager.

I want so badly to be right by their sides and play with the other dogs, but for now I have to rest in my pen most of the day. Even though I'm restless, I'm still a happy, happy dog! I can't wait to run free in my own house and back yard. I think I'll take a nap and dream about that...

FOSTER UPDATE:

Wave is a special dog. She is full of love and joy. She is house trained, rides well in the car, and gets along with other dogs. Although she can't go for walks while her leg is healing, she enjoys her time out of the crate and short walks. We would keep her if we didn't already have two greyhounds. She's an awesome dog.

Wave is very people oriented and has an out-going and confident personality and will be a fun and loving companion.
