Onyx's Story...
Onyx is the sweetest of his litter, no doubt about it. If you pick him up, the purr is instant and he loves being tipped over on his back like a baby. As you walk through the room, he'll bound up and give ONE quick pounce at your leg, no claws, just to remind you that he's a few feet below you! His fur is dense and soft -- and if you hold him close, he'll whisper in your ear. This is a kitten to absolutely love forever. Would you like to meet him? FOR's kitten fee is reduced to $50 until July 31 (includes spay, microchip, vaccination, exam, and Felv/Fiv test). Topaz is fostered in Huntsville, AL and you can meet her by emailing info@FORrescue.net. The first step is our application and you'll find it at http://forrescue.net/cat-application/. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Onyx, a Nashville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
