Rover's Story...
Looking for a sweet, loyal companion? That would be me! I am about two years old and enjoy attention and affection. I seem friendly with other dogs and walk well on the leash, too. My foster mom says I need a home with a little boy as I have really taken to her son. I am good around all children and can't wait to have a family of my own. I appear to be house trained, too. My gentle personality makes me an excellent candidate to be your new family member! To find out more about adopting me, email info@habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rover, a McKinney Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
