Johnny Boy's Story...
Johnny Boy is a Shelter Puppy Dog:
adoption date is 3-11-08 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date. As of this Month, Johnny Boy is still at the shelter in need of rescue.

This handsome young man is around 3 years old, is Large in size, walks on a leash, sits when asked, he appears to be a very sweet & loving boy, active, playful, full of love & fun, pretty well mannered, loves water, has very soft fur and is a special dog that is in need of a family to love.

Dawn gave a little test by looking in Johnny boy's mouth, pulling on his ears and tail, holding his paw and giving him a little kiss and hug. Johnny Boy appeared to past the test with no problems. He's got that retriever personality fun puppy dog. Like all of our shelter dogs, we suggest a well fenced yard for Johnny Boy to play and be safe in. We feel he may make a very nice active fun loving family member and outstanding outdoors fun companion. If you wish, Johnny Boy can be tested around Dogs & Cats here at the shelter.

Act quickly to adopt Johnny Boy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Johnny Boy, a Grass Valley Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
