My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Shorty and I'm looking for my forever home. Unfortunately I ended up in a nasty shelter through no fault of my own and feel so fortunate now being with people that care about me. Shorty is a very nice 6 year old gentleman who weighs about 60 lbs. He is a beautiful black boy and we are not sure how he got his name - possibly because his legs are just a little short in comparison to the rest of his body. Shorty is a good boy and likes being with people. He is also good with other dogs and likes hanging out with his canine buddies. We would have to cat test him though if needed. Shorty likes to go for car rides and go for long walks in the park. He would make a wonderful companion for just about anyone. Shorty would be considered medium energy for his age and loves it when he gets good boy treats. He takes them very gently. Shorty would do well with obedience classes as he really wants to please his person. He is a quick learner and would love to learn all kinds of things. He would like a nice soft bed of his own and to lay by your feet in the evening just watching TV and relaxing. Shorty has been neutered, is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. He has also been kept on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative and is crate trained.
