Here's what the humans have to say about me:
They call me Katie and I'm quite the little lady. When my family was about to lose their home due to foreclosure, I found myself at the city pound. They said they'd come back for me if they could get a bailout. But there I sat, looking for my OWN bailout! Luckily, the nice folks at Adopt-A-Pet spotted me and, well ... bailed me out! So now I'm looking for a new family to call my own. I believe in paying it forward, so if YOU need to get bailed out of doglessness - I can help!
The city pound had me listed as a yorkie-dachshund mix, but the folks at Adopt-A-Pet are pretty sure I'm a silky terrier - maybe even purebred, but no one knows for sure. I weigh 12 pounds. I was starting to look pretty scruffy there for a while, but now I'm all groomed up and I feel so pretty! I'm just settling in and getting to know the nice folks at Wilmette Pet Center where I'm staying temporarily. Stay tuned, and I'll post some more information as soon as I get to know them better :)
In the meantime, you can meet me at Wilmette Pet Center (625 Green Bay Rd.) anytime during store hours 7 days a week. Although you may want to adopt me on the spot, please understand that you will need to complete an application first.
Katie's adoption fee of $300 includes: vet exam, heartworm test, distemper vaccination, rabies and bordetella vaccinations, routine deworming, flea control, heartworm prevention, microchip and spay.
