Blanca's Story...
Blanca is an extraordinary cat and we're looking for a home for her that will meet her needs. As you can tell from her photos, she's unique. Her eyes are clear and crystal clear -- lighter and more striking than any we've every seen. Her coat is healthy and soft. Blanca truly makes an impression when you meet her. She's at ease with other cats, especially if given time to adapt. She has only meowed one time since we met her - she's a quiet girl. She's 100% litter pan trained and requires very little. Her greatest need right now is peace, quiet, and safety. Blanca suffered a traumatic injury, possibly human inflicted, and is learning to trust people again. She's made tremendous progress with her foster mom and we'd like for her to continue in a FORever home so no more adjustments will be needed. She needs someone who understands cats and loves them just as they are -- and someone who will enjoy watching her progress. For animal lovers, there is a special joy in watching a mistreated, fearful animal open their heart again. Her foster mom invites you to meet her in her Huntsville foster home and she can chat with you about Blanca. If you'd like to learn more about Blanca, please email info@FORrescue.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blanca, a Knoxville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
