Roosevelt's Story...
This is Roosevelt! He was rescued from a high kill shelter after being found as a stray on the streets of Philadelphia. He would do best in a home as an only pet, or a laid back older dog since he can be selective. He loves to gives kisses and cuddle with you! Please consider adopting him into your home forever!

*update- Roosevelt is doing great in his foster home with another adoptable, Ruby! They are getting along very well, so if you have another dog we will do a meet to ensure they get along!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roosevelt, a Philadelphia American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
