Talk about a life unwinding. Rocky lived with his dad his whole life and had many family members coming over all the time. His dad had a stroke, had to move into a very small apartment and was unable to care for Rocky. Rather than take him to a shelter, the kids tried taking him home. The daughter lived in an apartment and got caught by landlord who does not allow dogs. The son took him home but his unaltered male dog did not want another male in the house so he took him to the shelter.
The daughter contacted us so we immediately put a hold on Rocky to rescue should he not be adopted to the public from the shelter. We were thrilled to see that he was adopted from the shelter! About a month later we were contacted by the family again who confessed to going back to the shelter and getting Rocky before his due date. He was still in need of a home and we will find him that home. His owner has since had another stroke so there has been nothing but stress in poor Rocky’s life for months now. He is a good boy, housebroken and just needs a stable home to live the rest of his life in.
