Arnie's Info...

Arnie's Story...
Arnie was a relative newcomer to a community cat feeding station earlier this year. His rescuer made sure he wasn't a lost pet before she called MEOW.

At the MEOW Adoption Centre, it was pretty obvious that Arnie wasn't a seasoned street cat but rather a recently abandoned house pet. He is loving, sweet and knows that people are a fantastic source of love and treats.

Arnie is hoping to find his forever home soon.

MEOW Foundation is a registered charity and humane society with a no-kill mandate. We facilitate the adoption of the stray and abandoned cats that we rescue into new loving, permanent homes. We do our best to ensure that our cats will be matched to the best possible homes based on their personality, history, habits, and individual needs. MEOW has adopted 5800 cats into loving homes since 2000. Visit MEOW Foundation's website or call us at 403.230.6033 to learn more about adopting and our life saving programs

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arnie, a Calgary Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
