Miss Lou's Story...
Miss Lou is around 10 years old and weighs in around 20 lbs. I was at the shelter exiting dogs for rescue and saw a black hairy lump on the floor. It turned out to be a overheated long hair matted senior dog who could barely move. It was 108 in those kennels no place for this poor baby. I didn't even think twice I scooped her up and she was on her way to San Diego. First stop the groomers where all that hot matted hair was shaved off. Underneath all that hair was a pretty face, and one very grateful dog! I'm so happy we could help this old baby and I know someone here in San Diego is going to give her a home. See and adopt her at Petco 2510 Jamacha Rd El Cajon 92019 Sat/Sun 11:00-4:00. El Cajon Dog and Cat Animal Rescue 619-244-2778

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss Lou, a Santee Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Santee, or seeking a Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Santee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santee paves the way for another one to be saved.
