Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet SAFE Class XIX! After only two weeks of training, these dogs give every indication that this will be an excellent group. Upon completing the two month program, in which the dogs live with their trainers at WKCC (Western KY Correctional Complex), the dogs will be housetrained, crate trained, able to walk on a loose leash, able to respond to basic obedience commands, and able to perform some tricks. They will also be spayed/neutered, on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, as well as being up to date on all shots. You may request an application by going to safehavenky@gmail.com The adoption fee is $150.00 .
Maggie is the old lady of the class. However, her trainers assure us that she does not act like a seven year old dog. She did, however, have a slight weight problem when she entered the program. That is being worked on and she has even dropped a pound or two already. The trainers say that her personality is much more Pug than Spitz. She loves all people and all dogs and has never has a bad day. Every day is an adventure for her. Since she is a senior dog, her adoption fee has been reduced if her adopter is a senior also (55+).
