SKYLAR gentle friend's Story...
Lovely SKYLAR is a mellow, very sweet 3 year old pit mix with GREAT skills with people and other dogs. Nothing fazes her -- not a strange new vet office, not the car, not the other dogs she is in foster with (some quite bossy/pushy). She is great with small dogs and MIGHT be good with cats! Skylar is just super with all people and kids.

She has short, cropped ears but somehow it just makes her look cute, rather than fierce. Skylar is always full of wiggles and is only about 50lbs so on the small-medium size. She has a pretty cow-print coat, white with tan spots, and a tail always wagging. She loves to give kisses. Skylar has a little head tilt as she is getting over an inner ear infection (vestibular disease) but it should have no lasting effects. She is housetrained, crate trained, and has basic obedience. She would make a great first-time dog for someone! Medium-low energy... more of a sofa buddy than a jogging companion!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SKYLAR gentle friend, a Brooklyn Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
