My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Opus and I am a 16 year old African Grey. They tell me I am a good boy; however we aren’t completely sure if I am a girl or boy. Right now I am settling in to my new foster home and already I am quite the talker. I love to say hello, peak-a-boo, pretty bird, make robot noises, and ask for apples. I love to snack on some of the same things my foster parents eat such as fruits and veggies, apples are my favorite. I am not a huge fan of pellets, but they put them in my dish just in case I want something different. As you can tell, I no longer have any tail feathers and when I am stressed I pluck around my neck, but I am still very adorable and my foster parents tell me I am a pretty bird. I am great with other pets, but my previous owner’s said I was not very good with small children. When my foster mom wants to hold me, she uses my favorite stick to get me out of the cage and then I will step right up for her and my foster dad – we will keep working on that stepping up thing. Once I trust you, I will be your best friend and a great addition to your family!
