My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome, young, cuddly kind of guy seeking lasting relationship with future forever family:) Jake is a Boston terrier/Jack Russell terrier (maybe). He is two years old and 22 lb. of sweetness and happiness.

Jake is well-mannered and eager to please. He is energetic, loves to play fetch and comes readily when you call him. He is crate-trained and potty-trained. He is learning to wear a harness which helps him not to pull while walking. There are no kids or cats in Jake's foster home, but we will try to kid- and cat-test him.

One of Jake's favorite pastimes is snuggling with his humans. He sees himself as a "lap puppy". He enjoys playing with and chewing on toys. He does not offer to chew on other inappropriate things.

Jake is up-to-date on his vaccinations, is neutered and microchipped. He has tested positive for heartworms and is on the slow-kill heartworm treatment. This treatment just involves giving pills which are supplied by the rescue at adoption. He should be rid of those pesky worms in 12-15 months. For more information on the slow-kill treatment, please call Susie at 803-279-8069.

To find out more about Jake, please call his foster mom, Nancy, at 803-627-7920. To adopt Jake, visit bostonrescueofsc.com and fill out the adoption application. His adoption fee is $175.
