My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 4-month-old male Boxer puppy. I weigh about 11 pounds now, but I've got a lot of growing to do still. I'm exactly what you would expect from a puppy...playful, inquisitive and oh-so-fun!! I get along great with other dogs and I love all my human companions, too! I'm super adorable and very, very friendly. It's a surprise that I am as well adjusted as I am. In Mexico, where I came from, I was apparently going to be used as a fighting dog or a bait dog. I guess it just depended on how aggressive they could train me to be. There were 12 of us puppies that were part of the dog fighting ring, but I was the only one that made it out. My rescuer was able to convince a woman to give me up, thankfully! She took me home with her and kept me safe until a rescue group could be found. Fortunately for me, CageFree said I could join their pack! So I made the long trip up to West LA along with some buddies of mine. We now spend our days on the playground with several other dogs. We have lots of fun wrestling and chasing each other around, but I am really looking forward to starting my new life with a family that will love me and protect me.
