Pixie's Story...
PiPixie is the most wonderful dog. We aren't quite sure of her breed – we think Pitt and Plott mixed and due to her build. She is a really amazing, sweet, wonderful, friendly dog. She sits, lies down and stays when asked. She has a TERRIFIC PERSONALITY!! Pixie thinks she is a lap dog and she even loves to give hugs. She would be best in a home with a fenced yard and preferably a dog door. Pixie is not a dog that should be crated; she has far too much energy and has done well adjusting to being left to roam free in the house with the dog living in her foster home. She is a bit skeptical to new surroundings but quickly adjusts. She loves to go on walks and does very well on a leash. She is good with other dogs, loves to play and doesn't seem to mind cats at all! She enjoys raw-hides, dog toys and tennis balls. Pixie was in a local animal shelter and sadly ran out of time. Knowing what an amazing dog she is, we did not hesitate to save her. Now she just needs her forever home. She is up to date on shots including a rabies vaccine, spayed, micro chipped and heartworm tested negative. She weighs 52 lbs., and is 2 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Woodstock Plott Hound/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Woodstock, or seeking a Plott Hound/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Woodstock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodstock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodstock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Plott Hound/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodstock paves the way for another one to be saved.
