My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SIMON is a 10 month old yellow neutered male who weighs 44 pounds. He's a sweet young boy. Like a typical young Lab, he has lots of puppy energy. Simon does pull on lead, especially when he first gets going, so an easy walk harness will be good for him. But he does calm down fairly quickly. Simon is good with other dogs and is approved for kids aged 10+.

Update (7/25): Simon is a handsome love bug of a pup. He craves attention and is smart and eager to learn. He is full of energy and loves to play ball (although not great at the catch part) he will carry it around with him. He gets along great with his foster Lab family and is good with sharing toys and he LOVES to play! He also would be OK with a dog savvy cat. Once the excitement subsided from being sprung from the kennel, he rode fine in the car and enjoyed the sights and smells. He did great sleeping in a crate last night and after a few yawns, slept through the night. He is looking for a forever family who can give him lots of play time, love and snuggles and some obedience training.

Update (7/10): Simon is a very handsome boy! He is proving to be the perfect mix of playful young Lab who loves to explore and the perfect companion content to curl up in his dog bed. He watches and listens and is a quick learner and in true Lab fashion, eager to please. He has been learning "sit" and how to better walk on a leash which he is picking up quickly. He enjoys playing with the resident Labs and takes every opportunity to find every tennis ball on the property, so we will never miss a chance to play. He has been well crate trained and after the initial disappointment that it's quiet time, he settles in and sleeps through the night just fine. Simon is really looking forward to finding his forever family because as much as he likes it here, he wants a place to call home. He has a lot of love to give and who can resist when he tilts his head to the side and looks at you with those beautiful sad eyes! Also, check out a short snippet of him running around the yard: http://youtu.be/45ObkyHLZ9M
