Maggie's Story...
Such a gentle giant! My name is Maggie. I am a loveable, huggable 3 year old purebred Great Dane. True to my breed, I have the sweetest temperament. Don’t let my elegant beauty fool you because I am very playful and give kisses. I greet everyone with a happy, wagging tail. Yes, so friendly. As you can see in my photo, I am great with children. I am also good with other dogs. Every ounce of my 140 lbs. is pure delight. I am housebroken and have been spayed, vaccinated and heartworm/Lyme tested. If you have room in your heart and home for a devoted companion, please contact my friends at for an adoption application. Tell them you can’t wait to hug adorable Maggie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Radford Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Radford, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Radford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Radford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Radford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Radford paves the way for another one to be saved.
