Holly's Story...
Hi! My name's Holly and I'm a 6 year old chihuahua. I was surrendered to the shelter by my owner who was elderly and could no longer care for me. So now I'm here at the shelter looking for my true forever home. I didn't come alone though. My best friend Angel came too. She's also a chihuahua and is around 5 years old. We love each other and it would be great if we could find a new home where we could still be together.

I'm up to date on shots, spayed, and have a microchip. I'm also pee pad trained and ride well in a car. All that's missing now is a home and someone to love me! I'm not crazy about kids, so I would like a new home where I don't have to be around them. I'd really be content to sit next to you on the couch and watch tv!

Are you looking for a new little furry friend (or two)? Do you think Angel and I would be a good fit for your home? The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. COme visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly, a Youngwood Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
