My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Loki. He is a little over a year. He's not real crazy about other male dogs but he does love the girls. He was left to a family that was supposed to be short term and was inevitably dumped on them. That family had to move out of state in a hurry for the husband's new job and he was surrendered. He does need some work as he still has a puppy mentality but he's getting there with time and maturity. Loki hates to be crated and loves playing outside (he shares a suite with Rosie and plays with Rosie and Georgie in the yard during the day). He does well with children. Loki is a very sweet boy with a lot of love to give a family. He would probably do better in a household with another dog to play with.

Because of the need to make room to pull from statewide animal controls, I am REDUCING THE ADOPTION FEE FOR THE MONTH OF JULY TO $300. ~Tara

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated against Bordetella, DHLP, Influenza, and Rabies, as well as microchipped prior to adoption. We require a $500 adoption fee that will partially recover our expenses. We do require that an adoption application be filled out and submitted (http://gprwi.org/adoption-application.html). Upon receipt we will check veterinary and personal references and then schedule a home visit. We do require a fenced in yard (an invisible fence is not an acceptable means of confinement).

We are always in search of approved foster homes. Upon receipt of a foster application, a similar process to an adoption is done. We will provide veterinary care, boarding, and grooming and you will only have to provide food, love and a secure environment.

Please visit our website at www.gprwi.org for more info and applications
