Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.
iMiles is a 1.5 year old hairless Chinese Crested. His birthday happens to be on Halloween! He was rescued locally from a backyard breeder and after spending time in a great foster home he is ready to be adopted. Miles is a sweet and happy little boy. He weighs about 13 pounds and due to his hairlessness he does need to wear clothing much of the time. In the summer he can get sunburned easily and winter he needs clothes for warmth. He has a few outfits that will come with him. Also his foster has cresteds of her own so she will be able to explain all about his needs, grooming, etc.
Miles loves to play with other small and playful dogs. He is also good with cats and respectful children 5 and up. He enjoys playing with toys and cuddling with his human companion. Miles is initially a bit shy in new environments, but once he warms up he is very good natured. He is house trained and crate trained. Miles is in rescue with Happy Hound Rescue, a 501c3 all volunteer rescue. Miles is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative His adoption fee is $450.00.
