Freddie is one lucky 5 y/o! Someone found him lying beside a road in Houston and dropped him off at a local shelter. Thankfully, he was given an early medical release and Houston Beagle Rescue was able to get him into a vet for treatment for a large neck laceration and lots of road rash! Freddie has grown the hair back on his chest and is all recovered from heart worm treatment. As a tall hound mix, Freddie stands 17 inches tall and is looking much better now that he has added a few pounds to his skinny frame. He now weighs 40 pounds.

Freddie seemed to know how to use a dog door and has excellent house manners, so was probably use to living with a family. He is very sociable with people and always greets you with a full body wag of his tail! He is one of the happiest dogs alive. Now that he is feeling better, Freddie is joining in on all the beagle activities. His favorite game is a good wrestling match or a game of chase. He does love chew on hoofs and is willing to wait his turn at one that is really yummy!

Freddie’s greatest desire is to be a lap dog! He loves to be as close as possible and soaks up all the attention you can give him. He needs a special person in his life that has a big heart and lap. He loves to be with you and will follow you from room to room. Freddie is very content to just lie at your feet while you work on a computer, but chair time is cuddle time!
