CiCi's Story...
Disposition: friendly, attentive

CiCi is a young tuxedo female with gentle manners and an easy-going temperament. She likes attention and is ready to respond when attention is offered to her. She is quite the beauty with her long white whiskers, white chin, and big golden eyes.

CiCi was going to die. She had pyometra and without immediatel medical intervention, she would have succumbed to the infection. A local city shelter asked us to please take her into our program and give her the care she needed to get through the infection. It was costly, but CiCi recovered quickly and bounded back beautifully.

This wonderful lady would make a great companion in almost any home. She is a bit standoffish at first but seeks to be welcomed into the family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CiCi, a The Colony Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in The Colony, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in The Colony.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Colony already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Colony breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Colony paves the way for another one to be saved.
