My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elvira is one of the most strikingly beautiful Dobermans I have ever seen. She is black and tan with a docked tail and perfectly short cropped ears. She is a big, powerful girl that loves to run and play with her new best friend Sacha. She heels perfectly on-leash and knows all her commands. She tends to have a rather high prey drive with the squirrels in the yard, however she is perfectly fine with the cats and rabbits that live in the house.

Elvira was rescued along with four other Dobermans that were confined to a life of puppy mill breeding stock. Three of them (Brodie, Fiona, and Sacha) were scheduled to be euthanized rather than paying for their stage one heartworm treatment. Home FurEver stepped up and financed their medical treatment, including spay/neuter to ensure they will never be bred again. They are being fostered together, and are learning what freedom is all about. They are looking for experienced adopters to begin the next chapter in their lives.
