Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Need a sweet little Cookie in your life? This little girl will bring a lot of love and happiness your way. She makes her foster mom smile everyday. She is so anxious to please, she’ll be your best pal in no time. She loves other dogs and is mostly disinterested in the family cat. She just wants to get to know her better. She has spent some time with kids and has done very well. She is doing well on a leash and even knows how to sit for treats already. She is definitely interested in squirrels and other critters outside, something she will need more training on. Cookie is super smart and has picked up the house routine very quickly. She is housetrained and likes to have regular morning and evening walks. She has the run of the house now and has been sleeping with her foster mom overnight. She also does ok in a crate, if needed. Cookie is a HAPPY little girl, loves squeaky toys and bones, the dog park and just wants lots of pets and love. She is a confident dog and would do well as an only dog or with a dog buddy. She is about 1 year old, 18 lbs, and a scruffy terrier mix.
All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday November 15, 2014, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
