My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is the most affectionate dog we've ever met, has tons of personality, and is a total snuggle monster. Whether you're watching a movie, going on a hike, taking a road trip, or just coming home after work, Ginger is thrilled to be there with you and makes every situation better.

Ginger can be chill but does have a lot of energy. She would do well in single-pet home with a fenced backyard where she can happily chase squirrels. She loves to go on runs with her foster mom, and she loves hiking. She gets VERY excited if you ask her about a "walk" or "leash" or "ride in the car." She has a "happy bark" that she'll show you when she's excited about a walk or a treat.

Ginger knows how to sit and lay down on command. She has mastered "stay" indoors, but is still working on "stay" when she's outside. She is a super smart dog and is also quite beautiful. People frequently stop us on walks and comment on how pretty she is.

Ginger can be wary of new people and barks when people come to the door (an excellent guard dog). But she usually warms up to newcomers quickly, and is sitting in their lap or begging for a belly rub in no time.

She checked out perfectly on her most recent vet appointment, and her heart-worm medication is up to date. She does not like the vet or getting baths, but she is acquiescent to both.

Favorite toy: Buddha Bone
Favorite food: Salmon skin
Favorite thing to chase: Squirrels
