My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Summit is one I the coolest dogs her foster mom has ever had! Cute as anything, and smart as a whip! 1.5 years Summit is the cutest mix of bulldog and lab and most likely some heeler or pointer (as she is lanky!) in her too! She “prances” like a pointer and has spots like a heeler. Summit weighs about 45 lbs and just completed a two week training class with Josh Donahue of Argos Dogworks. Summit was rescued out of high kill Murray County Shelter in north Georgia mountains. Her rescue person then took her to boarding to wait a few days for adoption- which never happened. Rescuer became seriously ill, and Summit and many others waited a long time to get out. It was only after the RAIN girls came along was she and lots other were “sprung” out of long term boarding. The girl is awesome on a leash and does her sit and down and place immediately! Summit also can move quickly and swiftly when she is allowed and when you want her to! She is fast and loves to run! She’ll make a great exercise partner and will love to accompany you on daily walks or weekend hikes. Summit is very affectionate, loving and loveable! Feel free to check in with Josh at argosdogworks.com and see what great things he says about her! She loves being outside and is fine with all types of weather. She doesn’t pull towards other dogs and is really a joy to have around. She is affectionate and great with kids, though I’ve not real little ones around my house. She rarely jumps up- especial if you work on calming she and you! Summit is very good in her crate, quiet and easy and is totally house trained. She gets along well with other dogs but foster mom doesn’t have cats so we’ll try to find some shortly! She has no aggression towards food or toys and loves to chase balls. Summit is a good swimmer, but has yet to charge in the pool on her own. She is super smart and wants to please, therefore was one of her trainer’s favorites! We are currently working on “calming” as she has a tendency to get overly excited (don’t we all!). So we walk slow on the leash and stay in “place” and down for extended periods of time. You will be very impressed how much she has learned and how easy it will be to take over where Josh left off! Summit is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. She will be leaving for Washington State on a cross country driving journey July 26th-28th with arrival in Seattle area at the end of the month. Foster mom Pam only has wonderful things about this cutest and smartest of lab mixes. To apply online go to www.raincityrescue.com or for questions, email Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com. You seriously do not want to let Summit get away!
