Miss. Patti's Story...
Miss Patti is an adorable female Pit mix who is roughly 6 years old. She came from a horrible home, where she was chained up outside with a bunch of other dogs and ignored. They cropper her ears (extremely poorly might I add) and bred her multiple times. No matter her past, Patti is a happy girl who just wants to go outside and enjoy someone's company. She loves belly rubs and rolling in the grass. Patti definitely needs leash training, as she's only ever been chained up and never walked until she came to the shelter. She does know some of her basics, like sit and down, and she's working on come. She should be good with other dogs and tested well with cats, but would do best with older children because of her size and strength.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss. Patti, a Bay Shore American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Bay Shore, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Bay Shore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bay Shore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bay Shore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bay Shore paves the way for another one to be saved.
