Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Shadow. We don’t know her past life or what she has been through. All we know is that one day, there she was, being tied up to a pole outside of the shelter.
When the shelter took in Shadow, she had a very severe ear infection in one of her ears which caused her eardrum to rupture. She was covered in fleas and had terrible coat. The Shelter wasn’t going to do anything about her. They threw her into one of the overcrowded cells with no medical care nor any consideration.
Weeks later, one of our volunteers came across Shadow. Her ears had been scratched so much that were covered with blood (fresh and dry blood). Her coat was balding and spotty. She was in a bad shape. Our volunteer was horrified with Shadow’s condition. She took Shadow out of the shelter, got her to a vet and took amazing care of Shadow. Months later, Shadow’s skin has recovered, her coat has grown nice and shiny and she is healthy. However one of her ears has been permanently damaged.
Shadow is about 8-9 years old, spayed female, Golden Retriever and Black Lab mix. Shadow is a very sweet, quiet and obedient dog. She is submissive and calm. Shadow doesn't make any demands and she is not needy at all. All she wants and needs is a family who loves her and not abandon her. Her big brown eyes always full of hopes whenever someone walks by.
Shadow loves people (male/female) and she loves kids. Shadow is good with dogs however she doesn’t play much with dogs. Shadow likes to hang out. Shadow is great for an family with kids or an old couple. She will steal your heart.
