Sweet Pea's Story...
Meet Sweet Pea! She is one of three girl-babies left from their litter. This is what their foster mom had to say about Sweet Pea and her sisters:

"Attached are pics of the 3 remaining from the oldest litter. There are 2 of Angel and Olive Oil because I couldn’t get them to sit still to get that perfect picture. There is only 1 of Sweet Pea because she sat pretty for me and I think she looks great in her pic. Angel and Sweet Pea look like, I can only tell them apart by the markings on the top of their heads…lol Angel and Sweet Pea are so sweet and give kisses. Olive Oil is sweet too..once you get her to slow down for a few minutes! She’s very active. All three girls will have amber eyes once they are older. Right now Sweet Pea has one blue eye and one amber but the blue eye seems to be changing and may end up being amber. Either way, it’s not very noticeable."

Like I mentioned, their mother is part Turkish Van. This breed is known to love water and has even been known to swim! Their markings are usually all white or cream with spots of color on their head and their tail is all that color, like Mittens markings. Angel and Sweet Pea have longer fur than Olive Oil, she’s more of a short hair."

Need I say more!?

These girls are still looking for good homes! They have not yet been spayed... and are starting their shots this week. Adoption fees are a fully refundable deposit, returned upon proof of sterilization within 6 months. Deposit may be waived, entirely, if you are able to provide a veterinary reference.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Pea, a Ocala Turkish Van kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Turkish Van for sale in Ocala, or seeking a Turkish Van kitten from a breeder in Ocala.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ocala already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ocala breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Turkish Van breeders who help with Turkish Van rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ocala paves the way for another one to be saved.
