Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Some folks just have it better than others, I suppose. I'm Willie, the shy tri-color beauty in the back, that fella in the front is my bro. Let me tell ya, we weren’t so lucky. When you are born and raised in a puppy mill and hoarding situation, your perception of normalcy gets a little skewed. But we are trying to keep our chins up and soldier on. Everyone here at the shelter has been really nice and patient with us. And we are slowly and surely becoming more comfortable in our day to day interactions. It’s just kinda weird to have no attention or socialization to all of a sudden having people care about you, ya know? So we are just taking it one day at a time and making the best of it. Neither one of us has had any training whatsoever, but as a testament to our breed we are pretty smart and quick learners. Our crate training has been going really well, we have been socializing with the other dogs just great, and we even had a really excellent introduction to cats. It’s just the people thing we are kinda stressed about. I mean, we want love, we really and truly do, but how to do it and what it entails just seems so foreign to us. With time, patience, and love, we will get up to speed, I am sure. Even your little humans, I bet we could get along with them, too! All we have known is each other and being together. But we need to be able to walk the path of love and life on our own four paws. Maybe you could show us that there is a better life out there?
