Duke's Story...
7/21/2014: Introducing Duke! Duke is a 13 month old purebred Harlequin Great Dane who needs a permanent and loving home to call his own. Duke had been sold to a breeder but their guessed indicated because he paces and shakes when nervous, that this may be a subtle sign of wobbler's syndrome, so he should not be bred. Therefor, he ended up in rescue. Duke is a sweet boy who is good with people and other animals. His adoption fee of $250 will cover shots, HW test, neuter, microchip and dental.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Easton Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Easton, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Easton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Easton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Easton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Easton paves the way for another one to be saved.
