My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Hello, all of you nice dog-lovers! My name is CHICO, and I'm a seven-month-old Chihuahua mix who's top priority in life is finding someone who'll cuddle with me. I'm here at the shelter because my owner moved to an apartment that doesn't allow pets. While I'm sad about the whole thing, I feel confident that there's a loving person or family out there who's looking for a little guy just like me. I'm affectionate, gentle, and downright adorable. I have a beautiful chocolate-colored coat, and I'm quite portable. I get along well with everyone, so I'd be an excellent family pet, and I get along well with other dogs. The shelter staff isn't sure yet if I've been house trained, so I'll probably need some guidance when I get to my new home. Won't you please come visit me? I'm waiting for you at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, where they have a great play yard for us to spend some time together. I think that once you hold me in your arms, you'll never want to let me go.
