Dexter's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Dexter's Story...
Dexter was week, anemic, with an erupting and pailful eye, a few short weeks ago. He was scared, stuck on a roof, and looked like he gave up. He didn't eat in days and could nearly move.
Empty Cages Collective rescued this poor baby, we gave him the veterinary help needed, and put him in a loving foster home. And oh had he blossomed! Dexter went from hisses to kisses, from retreating from sight to sleeping on his foster face.
This helpful little dude loves making sure people wash their face in the morning- he will wait for the alarm, make his way to your eyes and put that extra send- like-paper tongue to good use.
Dexter is trusting, very affectionate and playful. He would like to go to a home that can take his kisses (tongue and all), a family that appreciates his endless love and who can give him just as much.

Dexter is already neutered, up to date with her shots, and FELV/FIV negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
